Schedule
Shifts are a combination of 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM and 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM, totaling 10-hour shifts, four days a week. No call and no weekends are required.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Surgery unit, focusing on Preoperative and Phase 2 Postoperative care. The RN will be responsible for providing quality care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Provide Preoperative assessments and education to patients.
- Administer medications and manage IV start/maintenance.
- Monitor patient recovery in the Postoperative Phase 2, including discharge education.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of Texas.
- Previous experience in Preoperative and Postoperative care is required.
- Proficiency in starting IVs is mandatory.
- Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
