Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position, featuring 4 ten-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Call shifts and holiday coverage are required.
Job Description
The RN will work in the Vascular Surgery unit. Responsibilities include circulating and sedating during surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vascular procedures, including peripheral artery bypass, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomies, fistula creation, amputations, and endovascular surgeries (EVAR, TCAR, TAG). Experience with sedation is preferred. Familiarity with thoracic surgeries is helpful as the unit is currently covering those cases as well.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and sedate during surgical procedures
- Assist in various vascular surgeries and endovascular interventions
- Provide care and support to surgical patients
- Collaborate with the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotations including night and weekend coverage
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Previous experience in vascular surgery is required; experience in general surgery may be considered
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- Must have a valid RN license
- Knowledge of EPIC charting system is preferred
