Job Description
The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the M/S Telemetry unit, providing care to a diverse patient population including Med-Surg Oncology, Ortho, and Urology patients. The role involves working with ED Hold patients and requires a flexible approach to adapt to unit needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in the M/S Telemetry unit, providing assessment and monitoring.
- Perform unit-specific procedures including IV therapy, glucose monitoring, and blood draws.
- Coordinate care with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Assist with the care of ED Hold patients when necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in nursing, specifically in telemetry or a similar specialty.
- Current AHA BLS certification required; CMSRN preferred.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to starting.
- Experience with EPIC documentation system preferred.
- Reliable transportation is essential due to the lack of public transport in the area.
