Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will assess patient needs, implement nursing care plans, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the OR, ensuring a safe surgical environment.
• Assess and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on patient needs.
• Utilize clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of and competence in using clinical equipment and instrumentation.
• Participate in preceptorship and leadership roles within the nursing team.
• Recognize safety issues and implement proper patient handling techniques.
• Be prepared to assume duties as a charge nurse as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of OR RN experience required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN license in hand.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Experience with MEDITECH is a plus.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
