This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Flexibility in work hours may occur, and Saturday availability is required.

Job Description

The Rehabilitation Services department provides comprehensive services, including occupational therapy for individuals with injuries, disabilities, or emotional challenges. The Occupational Therapist (OT) will evaluate and treat patients to enhance, maintain, or restore their functional capabilities, covering a wide array of therapeutic activities and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's needs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy treatment, implementing appropriate strategies to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
• Document all services rendered and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Engage in departmental and administrative tasks to support program effectiveness and quality of care.
• Foster effective communication with patients, staff, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in educational in-services and staff development initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Hawaii Occupational Therapy license.
• Experience in evaluating and treating patients in a rehabilitation setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.
