This is a full-time position with 3x12 night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including holidays and every other weekend. The role requires 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the night shift. The successful candidate will be cross-trained for multiple units including Med/Surg, ICU, and ER. This role demands a strong background in critical care and a commitment to providing exceptional nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in various units: ICU, ER, Med/Surg.
- Utilize critical care skills to assess and address patient needs.
- Manage patient care and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Tele, or Critical Care Units.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association, along with NIHSS.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
