Job Description

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's level of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment based on assessment.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation according to department policy and procedures.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, assisting with orientation.
• Maintain patient safety and demonstrate effective communication with patients and families.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the best patient care.
• Conduct evaluations using appropriate procedures and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Document training and use of adaptive equipment with patients and families.
• Participate in scheduled conferences and team meetings.
• Ensure workplace safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• BLS certification is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.

Schedule

This position operates on a Day shift (5x8.0).

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
