Description

Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12-Hours)

Schedule

This is a night shift position with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The role requires working every third weekend and holidays as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in an inpatient rehabilitation department, focusing on patients with rehabilitation needs following conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for conducting assessments, managing patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support recovery and rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments and develop care plans based on individual needs.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor vital signs and interpret laboratory results.
  • Conduct dressing changes and set up sterile procedure trays.
  • Provide telephone triage and manage pharmacy calls/patient refill requests.
  • Assist in patient rehabilitation through effective communication and coordination with therapy teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum 1 year of acute care rehabilitation nursing experience.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Must possess an active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
  • Pass Fail EKG exam required with two attempts allowed.
