Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Nights (19:00 - 07:30). Requires 4 weekend rotating shifts per month. On-call duty is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality care for patients with respiratory issues. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex patient needs in critical care and emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy, evaluate patient progress, and recommend interventions.
• Perform intubation assists, extubation, and management of tracheostomy patients.
• Utilize skills in patient assessments, pulmonary hygiene, and ventilator management.
• Administer medications via various delivery systems including inhalers and nebulizers.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results.
• Participate in patient transport and interdisciplinary care coordination.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current and active RRT license in the state of New York.
• Certification in BLS required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Proficient in electronic charting, specifically with EPIC.
