Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit for a 13-week contract position. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients suffering from a variety of infectious diseases, including those requiring isolation precautions for conditions such as COVID, MRSA, and C-Diff.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the MedSurg/Infectious Disease unit.
- Administer medications according to established protocols and monitor patient responses.
- Utilize strong knowledge in MedSurg nursing practices and isolation precautions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.
Schedule
This position requires 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with a weekend commitment every other weekend.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in MedSurg nursing and infectious disease management.
- Previous EPIC system experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of isolation precautions and infection control protocols.
