Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift from 18:30 to 07:00, scheduled Friday through Sunday.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized care for patients in the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU Level 2). The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, particularly in pediatrics and NICU settings, to deliver comprehensive respiratory care to infants and children.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosol and mechanical ventilation treatments.
• Conduct respiratory assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Provide emergency respiratory interventions as needed.
• Assist in intubation and extubation procedures.
• Monitor patients for respiratory distress and manage equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP.
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpret results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Must have Pediatric and NICU experience.
• Active MD License and CRT or RRT certification required.
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS.
