Physical Therapist - Outpatient - New Grad

This position works 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The role includes overseeing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while maintaining compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans with goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation in accordance with state, federal, and clinic policies.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval as necessary.
• Participate in the educational program for students, providing supervision and evaluation.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Follow organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of services provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for Physical Therapy.
• Prior experience with Select Medical is a plus but not required.
