Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) to provide high-quality care to neonates with acute needs. The RN will be part of a dynamic team responsible for caring for very high acuity patients starting from 22 weeks of gestation and above. The unit employs advanced care techniques, including total body cooling, various ventilation strategies, and continuous IV therapies.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in an intensive care setting.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and critically assess patient status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain central lines, manage IV drips, and respond to emergencies.
- Educate families on neonatal care and support options.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience is required.
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
- Preferred: S.T.A.B.L.E certification.
