Schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with every other weekend required.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid New York license in hand. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a variety of mental health conditions and will be skilled in crisis intervention, medication administration, and behavior management techniques.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients with behavioral health issues, including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders.
- Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to manage high-stress situations.
- Administer medications and oversee patient health and safety.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patient recovery.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support patient treatment plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health nursing.
- Valid New York RN license in hand is mandatory for submission.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
- Ability to float between units as required.
