This position involves working 3-12 hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor & Delivery unit will provide comprehensive care to high-risk labor and antepartum patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. The RN will utilize their experience with the EPIC system and IV placement to deliver quality care in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patient care during labor, triage, and postpartum stages.
- Utilize intermediate fetal heart monitoring techniques to assess fetal well-being.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create effective care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Assist with high-risk labor procedures and provide immediate support in emergencies.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required.
- Experience in Labor & Delivery with proficiency in IV placement.
- Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
