Registered Nurse - Night Shift (3x12 Hours)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care in a step-down unit, primarily for patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization. The position may require floating to other like units as needed, and weekend coverage will be required every other weekend, subject to change based on patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, especially those with higher oxygen demands and on telemetry.
• Administer medication as per protocols including drips like heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol.
• Provide care for patients post-cardiac angiograms and post-myocardial infarction.
• Utilize EMR (EPIC) for patient documentation and care planning.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current RN license and certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• At least 1 year of experience using EPIC EMR.
• Prior charge nurse experience is preferred.
