Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Unit

12-hour day shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med-Surg Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting, handling a variety of cases ranging from CHF to oncology. This position requires the ability to manage and interpret critical patient data, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patient education and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a med-surg environment.
• Administer medications and monitor patient reactions.
• Regularly assess and document patient status and progress.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Float to critical care areas when necessary, managing med/surg or stepdown patients.
• Participate in unit activities to enhance patient care outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired RN license.
• BLS Certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
