Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide critical care to patients with complex health needs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience and must hold a current New York RN license. This position requires proficiency in various technical skills and knowledge of telemetry assessment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms effectively.
- Provide continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as necessary.
- Oversee care for ventilated patients and manage arterial and central lines.
- Ensure proper isolation precautions and utilize PPE in accordance with safety protocols.
- Perform regular assessments and documentation using AllScripts EMR system.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in orientation and training, achieving required competency assessments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
- Current New York RN license in hand.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
- Experience with AllScripts or similar EMR systems preferred.
