This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
The shift requirements include roughly 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period.
- Weeknight call hours: 9 PM - 7 AM
- Weekend call hours: 7 AM - 7 AM
- Regular shifts range from: 6 AM - 6 PM, 7 AM - 7 PM, 8 AM - 8 PM, 9 AM - 9 PM
Job Description
As a Preop / PACU Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will be responsible for monitoring patient recovery in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) as well as preparing patients for surgery in the Preoperative area.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients in the preoperative and postoperative phases.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as directed.
- Implement care plans and collaborate with the surgical team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Document patient status and progress accurately and timely.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license.
- Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Exam.
- Required immunizations and health screenings applicable for onboarding, including MMR,TB Test, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and Fit Test.
- Proof of identity with a current driver's license or state ID.
- Centralus health-related documents as specified.
