Job Description
The Ultrasound Technician will perform ultrasound examinations in the OB and ABD specialties, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care. The technician will need to follow protocols for patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, focusing on OB and ABD imaging.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and taking medical histories.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound technology, specifically in OB and ABD.
- Registered with ARDMS, with a focus on OB and ABD.
- Extensive OB training and experience in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) preferred.
- Active Ohio license required; compact licenses accepted for starts from 1/1/23 onward.
- Two references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty are required for submission.
