Schedule

This position operates on a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a 36-hour weekly guarantee. Nurses must be willing to float to all units within their skill level.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will function within the health system's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. The RN is accountable for the care of assigned patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Responsibilities also include guiding and educating non-RN staff, such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with established standards and best practices.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient outcomes.
• Educate non-RN staff and provide oversight as necessary.
• Utilize scientific knowledge and clinical skills to make informed judgments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
• Active RN license in Ohio or a Compact RN License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS (all from the American Heart Association).
• Current TNCC certification.
• Skills checklist relevant to the Emergency Room specialty, updated within the last year.
