Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating shift including days and nights with weekend coverage.

Job Description

The Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a 44-bed inpatient psychiatric facility. The RN will work with adolescent patients aged 14-17 and geriatric patients as needed, ensuring adherence to the philosophy, goals, and standards of the nursing department.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical and operational activities within assigned units.
• Implement nursing department policies and standards.
• Formulate and monitor budgets including capital, personnel, and operating expenses.
• Direct staffing and scheduling of nursing personnel.
• Supervise staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Coordinate orientation and educational needs for nursing staff.
• Foster effective working relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
• Promote positive public relations as a Nursing Department representative.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Inpatient adolescent psychiatric experience is required.
• De-escalation training/certification is necessary; attendance at SAFE Training Course available onsite if needed.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to float between adolescent and geriatric behavioral health units.
