Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team. The position requires experience in acute care settings, with responsibilities including patient assessments, administering respiratory therapy treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages, including adult and pediatric populations.
- Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to therapy, adjusting treatments as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with team members.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and home care techniques.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a tertiary or teaching hospital setting.
- Current RRT certification required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- NRP certification required for NICU assignments.
- Experience in NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and emergency departments preferred.
