CVOR Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position for a CVOR Registered Nurse with a day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, running from 05:30 to 14:00.

Job Description

The CVOR Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room setting. The RN will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support cardiovascular procedures including CABG, thoracotomy, TAVR, Mitra Clips, AVR, pericardial window, MVR, and pacemaker procedures.
• Respond to code situations and maintain fire safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.
• Participate in ongoing training and education related to CVOR procedures and best practices.
• Take call every other week as part of the nursing staff rotation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR nursing.
• Current and valid RN license in Florida or compact license required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:1.
