Job Description
The Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care in various pediatric intensive care settings, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU. This role requires versatility and the ability to float within the pediatric units as necessary. Responsibilities will include managing critical patients with various diagnoses and providing exceptional nursing care in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Administer medications, including IV vasopressors and anti-seizure medications.
- Manage care of ventilated patients, including BiPAP/CPAP management and central line care.
- Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience.
- Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN License.
- Certification in BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association.
- Experience in ECMO and CRRT preferred.
