Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. The Physical Therapist is committed to designing functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities while serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves. The position emphasizes safety, compliance, and upholding professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive evaluation of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in the student program as assigned, providing supervision and evaluation for students.
• Create an individualized professional development plan and actively pursue continuing education.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of services provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position involves a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
