Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. As a member of the patient care team, you will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families. The Operating Room has a reputation for excellent clinical care and utilizes advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques to ensure top-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective patient care and safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Assist with a variety of surgical cases, including trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastic, neurosurgery, and robotics.
- Document all relevant patient information in the electronic medical record.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; previous charge experience preferred.
- Current RN license in Maryland or compact state required at time of submission.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications preferred.
- Completion of a 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course by the 27th week.
- Completion of 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs required.
