Job Description

The PACU Registered Nurse will provide exceptional patient care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), managing patient recovery after surgical procedures. The nurse will follow ASPAN guidelines to ensure quality care and maintain optimal patient-to-nurse ratios.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and monitoring patient vitals during recovery.
• Collaborating with the surgical team to manage post-op care effectively.
• Assessing patient conditions and responding to emergencies promptly.
• Providing patient and family education regarding post-operative care.
• Documenting care and patient progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Previous PACU nursing experience preferred.
