Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45 - 07:15), with a weekend schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in a fast-paced cardiac and stroke unit, focusing on stable pre/post operative care for patients undergoing procedures such as pacemaker implantation and cardiac catheterization. Nurses will manage telemetry and cardiac drips while attending to various cardiac issues, including unstable angina and heart failure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient condition, including telemetry and IV management.
• Administer medication and manage cardiac drips.
• Provide care for pre and post procedure patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Participate in the admission and discharge process, collaborating with team lead and interdisciplinary staff.
• Respond to medical emergencies and manage acute patient needs on the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac or Stroke unit.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Telemetry experience is necessary; PCU experience is preferred.
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios that may fluctuate between 5-6 patients.
