Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI scans on patients in a variety of settings while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role includes a focus on neuro, musculoskeletal, abdomen, breast imaging, and other MRI studies, with specific expertise in advanced studies required, excluding cardiac MRI.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans on inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Ensure thorough patient screening and preparation for MRI procedures.
- Maintain equipment and manage quality control, including contrast administration as needed.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists who may be on-site or providing remote readings.
- Facilitate patient transport through coordination with hospital transport teams.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- ARRT (MR) certification required; ARRT (R) is not acceptable.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric imaging experience is required.
- No New York state license is required.
- Completion of health screenings and vaccinations, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and TB testing.
