Job Description
We are seeking a NICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for neonates in a Level III NICU setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing critical care for neonates, including those with conditions such as neonatal abstinence syndrome, and will be skilled in a variety of clinical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to neonates with varied gestational ages, including 29 to 34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks.
- Administer blood products and medications, including anti-seizure drugs, antibiotics, and steroids.
- Perform neonatal dosage calculations and phlebotomy.
- Monitor cardiovascular status and manage respiratory support systems, including vents and high-flow nasal cannula.
- Support breastfeeding and manage enteral feedings/tube placements.
- Conduct patient and family teaching regarding neonate care and infection control precautions.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
- BLS and NRP certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU.
- Experience with telemetry, IV maintenance, and medication management.
