Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques. The incumbent will demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care, assist providers in patient care and education, and actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality patient care and treatment based on practical nursing principles and skills.
- Conduct examinations and assist in diagnostic and treatment procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on care protocols, medication effects, and safety precautions.
- Utilize various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.
- Identify and analyze problems; prioritize and make effective decisions for patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification, with renewals every two years.
Schedule
This position requires a full-time commitment from Monday to Friday during daytime hours.
