Day shift; 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00), every other weekend required, with potential to float when needed.
Job Description
The Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for surgical cardiovascular and medical cardiac patients requiring progressive monitoring and post-operative care. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment managing patients with complex health needs, including vascular conditions, amputations, and detox protocols.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care to cardiovascular and medical cardiac patients.
- Monitor patient telemetry and vital signs, responding promptly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and IV therapy, including heparin and cardiac drips.
- Manage pre/post-operative care for surgical patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform special procedures such as wound care, chest tube management, and ostomy care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience necessary, with specialty experience preferred.
- Current RN license in West Virginia or Compact RN License.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; additional certifications preferred.
- Experience with telemetry and progressive care nursing.
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system is a plus.
