Schedule
Day shift, 4x10 hours, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with one required night shift per week.
Job Description
The PACU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring safety and comfort for patients recovering from surgery. The role requires collaboration with the surgical team and adherence to established protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vitals and overall condition post-operatively.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV therapy.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely patient care and safety.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Handle complications and emergencies according to established protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role.
- Current RN license in South Carolina or a multi-state/compact RN license.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is necessary.
