Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with weekend coverage every other weekend, subject to change based on need.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry field. The ideal candidate will work night shifts in a fast-paced environment, providing exemplary patient care while adhering to established protocols and safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and management in a telemetry unit.
• Perform central line care and management, including peripheral and PICC line management.
• Administer medications as per protocols including Heparin protocols.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, and respond to dysrhythmias appropriately.
• Implement isolation precautions and use PPE as required.
• Manage feeding tubes and provide tracheostomy care.
• Provide wound care and utilize wound vac when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry field.
• Active South Carolina RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• 1 year of Epic EMR experience is required.
