Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer traveler to join our Cardiology Team. The Echocardiographer (Echo Tech) will work alongside the practice team to deliver direct and indirect patient care in the hospital/office setting. Responsibilities include preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining these procedures, obtaining high-quality imaging, assisting physicians in interpreting the data, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Provide care according to established protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography.
- Educate patients and act as a patient advocate during care delivery.
- Maintain commitment to quality by upholding knowledge and competency in echocardiography.
- Deliver optimum customer service both in person and via communication systems.
- Organize exam rooms, procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Multitask effectively and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers regarding patient needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Proficient in all imaging modalities of Adult Echocardiography including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI (R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.) preferred, with required registry within 1 year of employment.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Maintain infections control and safety standards as well as practice-specific skill competence.
