40 hours a week. Shifts vary from Monday to Friday, 7 am - 6 pm, and Saturday, 8 am - 1 pm.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will provide general evaluations and treatments impacting patients' functional abilities across a wide range of ages and diagnoses. This role includes overseeing and directing the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PT evaluations and formulate treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Implement and modify therapy plans based on patient responses to optimize outcomes.
• Document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with policies.
• Facilitate communication with the healthcare team, attending care conferences and meetings.
• Develop patient education programs tailored to individual needs, ensuring understanding of home exercise programs.
• Assist in the acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment based on patient needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinical spaces and manage supply stocks and clinical equipment.
• Adhere to regulatory and practice standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Participate in committee duties and represent the Rehabilitation Services Department as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Entry level qualifying master’s or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or equivalent experience with APTA approved programs.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Alaska.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehabilitation.
• Active Alaska driver’s license.
