Registered Nurse - ICU (Nights)

Job Description

We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse with extensive ICU experience to join our team on the night shift. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of critical care nursing, showcasing clinical judgment and the ability to manage complex patient situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Adhere to the standards of practice as defined by the ANA.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and utilizing appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as necessary.

Schedule

This position is a full-time role, working from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).
• RN license in the state of Texas or compact license.
