Acute Care Occupational Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential weekend shifts 1-2 times per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services in a hospital-based acute care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care settings and be prepared to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess patients to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve maximum independence.
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in patient and family education initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
Active South Carolina or Multistate Compact Occupational Therapist License.
BLS certification and NBCOT certification required.
First-time travelers will not be accepted.
