Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Respiratory Therapist, primarily focused on adult patients in an inpatient setting. The position also involves occasional interaction with pediatric and neonatal patients, with necessary training provided as needed.
Responsibilities
- Administer breathing treatments and ventilator management.
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and run associated samples.
- Conduct EKGs for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Assist in intubation procedures as necessary.
- Manage a caseload of up to 40-70 treatments per therapist per shift.
- Be proficient in core respiratory therapy procedures and equipment, including ventilators and CPAP/BIPAP management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- ACLS, BLS (AHA), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and PALS certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in ER and ICU settings required; pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory.
