Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating night/evening shifts including 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) or 4x12 hour shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing a wide range of patient diagnoses from infants to geriatrics. This role includes rotating shifts primarily focused on night shifts to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Manage patient assessments, interventions, and health education.
• Monitor vital signs and symptoms, and administer medications as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with complex procedures and manage critical care situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Active RN license in Maryland.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required; CPI completion during onboarding; NRP and TNCC preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
