This position requires working every other weekend and every other holiday on a night shift from 06:45 PM to 07:15 AM.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a bedside patient care position in a 32-bed Med/Surg/Tele unit. The unit has an average daily census of 17-22 patients, and nurses will have a patient ratio of 1:5 (1:6 during surgical staffing) supported by nursing assistants and a lightly assigned Charge Nurse who supports with a 1:2 patient ratio.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg/Tele environment.
- Utilize Epic software for patient documentation and care coordination.
- Monitor patient vitals and manage medication administration.
- Collaborate with a healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Support nursing assistants in patient-related activities as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current State RN License verified and active.
- Epic software experience is required.
- Completion of relevant health history documentation including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap.
- Current TB Test and Fit Test documentation are needed.
- Driver's License/State ID for onboarding purposes.
- Successful completion of the Centralus Skills Checklist and Rhythm Interpretation Exam.
