LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is accountable for providing exceptional patient care through the application of the Nursing Process, in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role demands critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe delivery of care while maintaining clinical competencies through continuous education and training.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to assess patient needs and delegate care accordingly.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in anticipating and planning patient care delivery.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Ensure familiarity with ventilation, tracheostomy care, central lines, and wound care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Florida RN or multi-state compact RN license is required.
• Experience with ventilation and tracheostomy patients, as well as knowledge of central lines and wound care.

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 18:45 to 07:15.
