Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Schedule

This position requires a rotating schedule consisting of 3x12-hour shifts, including both day (07:00 - 19:00) and night (19:00 - 07:00) shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in inpatient psychiatric nursing, solid crisis management skills, and current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to psychiatric patients.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, documenting changes and updates.
• Administer medications and document treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Social Services.
• Engage in crisis prevention techniques to ensure patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification from an AHA-accredited entity.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, Cerner preferred.
