This is a flexible contract position running through the holidays and January, with a duration of 22 to 26 weeks.
Schedule
Shifts include 7a-7p or 7p-7a, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), addressing their critical needs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The nurse will demonstrate a commitment to patient safety, dignity, and respect while ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU patients.
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess patient needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Currently licensed by NYS as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the RQI system required.
- Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire.
- CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism.
