Job Description
The Interventional Radiology Nurse will provide care in a fast-paced environment focusing on conscious sedation and telemetry. The nurse will work closely with procedures related to stroke and must understand interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care during interventional radiology procedures
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient vital signs
- Coordinate with the medical team to ensure effective patient outcomes
- Participate in on-call rotations; have to be at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call
- Provide coverage in pre and post units as needed
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing setting
- ACLS and BCLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Basic understanding of interventional radiology procedures is essential
- Experience with telemetry and conscious sedation is necessary
