This is a 13-week contract position with a Day 4x10-Hour schedule, from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. No weekends or holidays required.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in an outpatient oncology setting. The ideal candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary team and will focus on providing supportive care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and manage central line care
- Assess and monitor patients with oncology diagnoses
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care
- Recognize and communicate any abnormal lab values
- Assist with accessing and managing ports
- Implement isolation precautions and manage patient safety
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient oncology experience required
- BLS certification required; OCN certification preferred
- Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at the time of submission
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
