Job Description

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant, you will embrace the values of Select Medical, focusing on delivering superior quality care while ensuring the safety of patients and colleagues. This role requires a collaborative approach to treatment, implementing therapeutic interventions and enhancing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in carrying out therapeutic interventions such as posture training, strengthening exercises, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Utilize various modalities, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary to optimize care.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families on care practices.
• Maintain clean treatment areas and comply with all safety and infection control guidelines.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR certification.
• Active applicable license for the state where work will be performed.
