Job Description
ARMStaffing is hiring for multiple L&D Registered Nurse positions for our client in York, PA. This role is responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of patient care. The L&D RN manages and provides comprehensive patient care activities for a group of patients and their families by applying independent judgment and collaborating with all team members to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate compliance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
- Actively participate in unit-specific quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance clinical care and influence patient care plans.
- Apply the nursing process to formulate daily goals and personalized care plans, fostering a healing environment.
- Maintain solid communication skills to articulate patient conditions and collaborate on care practices.
- Serve as an engaged and supportive partner on the care team, adapting to change and demonstrating flexibility.
- Provide comprehensive teaching to patients and families to guide them through their care process.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships by demonstrating accountability, enthusiasm, and cultural competence.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- RN license in the state of PA or compact state license.
- BSN preferred; Minimum of 2 years of L&D nursing experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Background in Labor and Delivery required.
Schedule
This position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts, with specific hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Weekend shifts are required every third weekend, with no on-call requirement unless opted in.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
