Job Description
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in the care of adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and closer observation. The PCU provides a robust environment for treating cardiac diagnoses, stroke, and post-surgical patients while maintaining a focus on high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage and care for patients in the PCU with telemetry needs.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for patient care planning.
- Educate patients and families regarding health management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 3 years of experience in a nursing role.
- Current RN license in Virginia or compact license.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
- Experience with Meditech charting system preferred.
